True to its name, Tranquility Lodge is a haven of peace and luxury. Tranquility is situated in Natures Valley which boasts one of South Africa's finest beaches and the sound of crashing waves is interspersed with that of the indigenous garden's singing birds and trickling water feature.

The lodge boasts seven double en-suite rooms, one of which is our “honeymoon” or “penthouse” suite with spa bath, fire place and double shower. Beautiful and comfortable, yet simple and understated - this is truly a place to escape to! The lodge is mostly wooden in structure and truly blends with the natural forest of Natures Valley. Boasting a lush indigenous garden that makes you feel that you are hidden away from the outside world. The lodge has an enclosed hotpool and a pool with wooden deck.
Our hosts will welcome you with their charm and delight you with their culinary expertise. Dining can be enjoyed indoors in the spacious and open plan dining area at the large family style yellowwood table, or on the outdoor verandah overlooking the lush indigenous garden and into the top of the tree canopy - giving you the feel of being in a tree house. The Lodge has an open braai area next to the swimming pool and the private and unique hotpool.

Each room at Tranquility has its own double sit-on-top kayak. These kayaks are stable and suitable for novice paddlers. They are an ideal way to explore the birdlife and natural surrounding of the lagoon and estuary.

We have also arranged two complimentary excursions for you: The first is a bridge walking tour on the Bloukrans River Bridge - home to the worlds highest commercial bungy jump and Africa's highest bridge. The second is a tour of the local mampoer distillery located on the Buffalo Hills Game Reserve. We can also arrange for a number of different holistic health treatments in the privacy of your own room.
