The property is fully fenced and parking is secure. The Retreat is suitable for Self Drive guests and Small Tour Groups and our Newly Tarred Road makes us accessible to all!! Guests no longer have to negotiate potholes and puddles in their quest to reach us!!!

Serenity House is our exclusive use Self Catering house – the décor and colour schemes of the rooms reflect elements of nature. The house sleeps 3-7 people, has 3.5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining and lounge area with DVD player. There is a covered stoep with kettle braai. The master bedroom has a Queen Size bed and full ensuite bathroom whilst all other beds are single or bunk. Suitable for groups of friends or families. Feel at home in comfortable and spacious surroundings.

The 2 Rustic Brick and Thatch Garden Rondavels have views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Fynbos and are ideal for the Budget conscious traveler who wants space and privacy; basic, clean and comfortable accommodation without unnecessary and costly frills. Both have en-suite shower and toilet and the 2 Rondavels share use of a fully equipped kitchen in a separate wooden cabin.

Driftwood Rondavel is the larger and can now sleep 3 people. Affordable romantic getaways are now possible as Driftwood houses a comfy double bed and an additional single bed for an extra person/child or for guests requiring separate beds. There is a small seating area and en-suite shower and toilet; the extra space in this rondavel makes it a more comfortable option for our longer stay or more mature guests.

Sandrift Rondavel has twin beds and is compact, bright and cozy - suitable for 1 or 2 people only. Sandrift is our Basic Beat the Budget option whilst still being adequately comfortable with en-suite shower and toilet – popular with overnight and short stay visitors and single travelers.

All accommodation is fully equipped with comfortable beds, fresh linen and (Eskom permitting!!) abundant hot water. The accommodation is fully equipped for Self Catering but we are able to offer catering options for groups by prior arrangement. Survivor Basket Breakfasts are available (fruit juice, milk, yoghurt, fruit and cereal) for guests unprepared for self catering or wanting a quick and early getaway.

SERENITY Retreat is ideally situated in the quaint and peaceful village of Stormsriver – in the Heart of the Tsitsikamma. Surrounded by an abundance of cool green indigenous forests and the shelter of the majestic Tsitsikamma Mountains.

Ancient trees cloak the mountain slopes and stand guard over the coastal plateau. Cape fynbos, impenetrable gorges, black water rivers, 220 bird species and shy nocturnal animals are some of the varied aspects of the Tsitsikamma and Beyond.

Halfway between George in the Western Cape and Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, Stormsriver sits on the border of the two provinces - less than 100 kms from the world-famous Garden Route towns of Plettenberg Bay and Knysna and the surfing Mecca of Jeffreys Bay.
